Dolphin

Dolphin also known as Mahi-Mahi or Dorado will hit a variety of trolled bait as well as artificial lures. Live bait will also account for a fish or two. Dolphin are a year round species with April thru June being the best months for the bigger fish 25-60 lbs. They are a great fighting fish and will pull hard as well as jump repeatedly. They will eat flies and jigs cast into schooling fish. lf one is caught it will be left in the water near the boat and if there is a school of them it will usually hang around the boat presenting the opportunity to catch several more.
